Margie Lamir-Heger, PT Director
Margie Lamir-Heger, PT, is the managing partner of Physical Therapy at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex. Founded in 1992, she has progressively expanded the practice to include 16 highly skilled therapists in three departments within the enormous health club. This consists of Sports/orthopedics, Back To Life Spine care, and Aquatic Rehabilitation. A graduate of Northeastern University, she has over 25 years of experience in treating patients with sports and orthopedic injuries and conditions as well as treating high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Her certifications in Yoga, weight training, Pilates, TRX, Burdenko land & water conditioning and training for soccer, gymnastics, and basketball allow her to create challenging, yet safe, customized exercise programs. Through a variety of speaking engagements and collaborations, she works closely with many of the highest respected surgeons in New England, developing rehab protocols that are implemented by her staff.
Margie sits on the board of trustees for Boston Biomedical Research Institute, an institute dedicated to conducting vital research in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases. She also sits on the parent advisory board for Duchenne Connect. Margie is co-founder and President of the Zack Heger Foundation for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a non-profit established to raise awareness and fund research for DMD through its alliance with the Duchenne Alliance. She is passionate about fund raising and is also a part of the host committee for JB Keys for Duchenne MD, and Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
Stephen Minard, MS, PT, Senior Staff, Manager
Stephen is the lead clinician of the Back to Life Physical Therapy Center. He received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College and worked in private practice before joining Physical Therapy at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in 2000. He has evaluated and treated thousands of patients with a variety of conditions related to neck and back pain. He has close working relationship with many doctors in the area and truly enjoys helping people get better. Steve has ties to the community having grown up, gone to school and continues to work and live in Dedham. He enjoys working out and spending quality time with his wife and 2 boys.
Stephanie Schwartz, PT, CSCS, Senior Staff, Manager
Graston Certified Practitioner
Stephanie earned her degree in Exercise Science at Umass-Amherst. She then went on to graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with her Master’s in Physical Therapy. She has been with Physical Therapy at Dedham Health and Athletic Complex since 2000 and is now PT manager.
Stephanie is trained in many hands-on manual techniques including 5 levels of Maitland Joint Mobilization, Myofascial Release, Strain-Counterstrain, Hersh Method for SI dysfunction and Cranial Sacral techniques. Stephanie is also a certified Pilates instructor, a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and currently teaches yoga. She is certified in Functional Movement Screens (FMS) and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) and uses this background in her evaluation and treatment plans.
Brian Sickorez, MPT, Senior Staff
Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in sports Medicine from Radford University. He went on to further his education at Nova Southeastern University receiving his Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Brian specializes in orthopedic sports rehabilitation. He frequently participates in CEU courses some of which include Maitland peripheral and Spinal mobilization, Back to Golf, shoulder and lumber spine annd Kinesiotaping. His interests include golfing, kayaking and hiking. Trained in the Graston Technique.
Meghan Johnson, PT, DPT, CSCS, Manager
Graston Certified Practitioner
Meghan graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in May 2014. She has a wide variety of experience from completing her physical therapy clinical rotations in MA and TX. Meghan has worked with patients rehabbing from orthopedic injuries, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and pulmonary disease. Meghan completed her last clinical rotation at EXOS, formerly Athletes’ Performance, where she worked with athletes ranging from high school to the professional level. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and expresses interest in working with the athletic population. Meghan completed her senior PT Project on concussions and has attended seminars related to the topic. Meghan has been involved in sports throughout her life and currently enjoys competing in distance races.
Kasey Bilodeau, PT, DPT
Kasey graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in May of 2015. During PT school, she completed clinical affiliations in orthopedic and acute care settings treating patients of all ages and activity levels. Kasey completed her last affiliation in Gainesville, Florida where she gained experience in treating patients with vestibular disorders and post-concussion symptoms. She also has an interest in pursuing a certification in manual therapy. In her free time, she enjoys running, lifting and playing soccer. Trained in Graston Technique.
Jaime Grant, PTA, Aquatic Therapy Director
Jaime received her Associates degree in Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1999 from Massasoit Community College. She is certified as a massage therapist since 2001 from Massage Institute of New England and a Reiki Master since 2005. Since starting at DHAC PT, Jaime has worked in the Spine Center/Back to Life program, the Orthopedic Clinic and is now an Aquatic Therapist trained in the Burdenko Aquatic Rehab method. Jaime is married with three children and enjoys spending time with the family as well as being active indoors and outdoors! Trained in the Graston Technique.
Rachel Levine, PTA
Rachel received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UMass Boston in 2013 and her Associates in Physical Therapy Assisting from Baystate College in 2015. She has ten years of experience as a personal trainer working with many individuals of different fitness levels to help reach their goals. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys lifting, dancing, and overall staying active! Trained in the Graston Technique.
Keith Doherty, PTA
Keith received his associates degree in physical therapy from the New England Institute of Technology in March of 2015 where he was the first student in program history to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. While a student at NEIT Keith served as both a Peer Tutor and SPTA Club Secretary as well as being a member of the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Following graduation Keith attained a perfect score of 800/800 on the National PTA Board Exam.
Prior to returning to school for physical therapy, Keith worked for 8 years behaviorally rehabilitating adjudicated teenage boys in Providence, RI as a staff member of Ocean Tides, inc. He was awarded the 2015 Feinstein Enriching America Award in recognition of these efforts as well as for his work training Providence area law enforcement in safe restraint tactics during his life-long involvement in the martial arts. Keith holds black belts in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Kenpo Karate and has over 20 years of experience in the martial arts including more than 15 years of teaching experience.
Robin Pyy, PTA
Robin received a Bachelor of Science from Stonehill College in 1993. She continued her education at Lasell College and received an Associate in Science degree as a physical therapist assistant in 1998. After graduating she worked in the inpatient department at Children’s Hospital Boston for 2 years. Robin became a PTA in the Spine Center/Back to Life program in 2000 where she motivates and inspires patients to achieve their full functional potential through supervised and independent exercise programs. Robin also enjoys exercising, sewing and spending time with her family.
Andrea Wegner, PTA
Andrea received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UMass Amherst in 2003 and her Associates in Physical Therapist Assistant from North Shore CC in 2011. She started with Physical Therapy at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in 2008, where she gained much of her experience in outpatient orthopedics. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Andrea joined the Spine Center/Back to Life team in 2012 and continues to gain knowledge by attending various courses throughout the United States. In her free time she enjoys playing competitive tennis and cycling. Trained in the Graston Technique.
Julian Bergman, PTA
Julian received his Associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2014 from Bay State College. Julian enjoys going to the movies, biking and swimming in his free time. Julian also graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute in 2007 and has been a licensed massage therapist since. With advanced certificates in deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, trigger point therapy, hot and cold stone therapy, and myofascial release, Julian is well qualified to treat a variety of conditions.
